Newly Formed, Sustainable Restaurant Association
The Consumer Revolt in action!
The newly formed Sustainable Restaurant Association (SRA), London, has followed the demand of restaurant patrons (and chefs, alike) and created a non-profit organization dedicated to transparency in the food industry. The SRA highlights those restaurants that are actively sourcing local and seasonal produce, reducing waste, increasing energy efficiency or serving Fair Trade. It also provides support and guidance for restauranteurs to improve their sustainable performance.
Although most of the Accredited Member restaurants are in and around London, I predict global partnerships sprouting all over in the near future.
